What do you think of the Concept?

Most of these are users and will hold up to any use.

The only ones that require a bit of care are the Acrylic handles.

Let us know what you Think.

I think it's a great concept... it gives a fancy twist to some already great knives without pricing them out of line. I was gonna ask about the acrylic, but I think I already get an idea from the last couple lines int he post that it is maybe more scratchable and needs more care? Please clarify?

A few of the color combos are not to my taste, but I'm sure some of the ones I really like are not to the tastes of others. "It takes all kinds," so to speak. Some of them are very much to my tastes - but there are guys who won't like any of them. That's one great thing about collecting - something for everyone, something special for each of us. The only ones I don't personally care for are the bright, artificial looking colors. I think your knives look very classy in all the natural tones. A little highlight or contrast is good, as long as the dominant colors are natural looking. But there are others for sure who will love the red white and blue or the orange. But, to me, the natural colors say "classy" and look "more expensive." I think the prices, btw, seem very reasonable.

I hadn't noticed the Copperhead model before, I don't think. Seeing it here, at least, brought it to the forefront of my attention, so even if this one isn't the one I get, I am one step closer to my first Barkie. I just wish there were going to be some at Blade... maybe a reseller will have some to see.

You just keep putting more and more great looking knives out there... it's amazing.

The Acrylic handles are a very hard plastic material. they would be fine with normal use but If you baton them of drop them on concrete--they can chip or even crack. We guarantee them but that doesn't help if it happens in the middle of a hunt.

I would say that they are great for light use.

I actually have never gotten a set back for repair.

I imagine that folks that buy them know thier limitations.

Here is the Copperhead with Acrylic Snow Leopard Pattern.

Mike,
That is one very cool looking piece. I have been slowly amassing a small collection of your fine knives over the past few months, and these are sweet. I was wondering if you ever made or still make a fillet knife with a blade of say 6-8'' or so, maybe 1 1/4'' wide tapered down to the point. I do alot of salt water fishing, and in the past have bought many knives for this purpose, but usually find myself going back to a standard run of the mill Dexter. An easily sharpened knife due to it's high carbon content, but just doesn't hold up well under the harsh environment I subject it to. I guess with all the knives you design and build, I am hoping that somewhere out there I'll find one of yours that will fit the bill.

Awesome knives for sure Mike, keep em comming......

Jimmy,

The Upcoming Tidewater Special will be our first knife that would be good for most fishing chores.

It is a 5 inch. I will follow it up with a 7.

Mike, this one is VERY cool, reminds me a knife my dad picked up in Sweden circa 1950-something.

I kinda got my eye on the (xray?) zebra acrylic. Never had an acrylic handle, still not sure about it, but I might like to lie and claim that one is my own special knife. :) I just need to get the X in the handle somewhere. :)

Jimbo,

I'm gonna try for August. We are so backed up that The Tidewater was actually supposed to be out in April.

I have to make another 1500 Knives for Blackjack and A.G. Russell needs 250 Rogue Bowies A.S.A.P. In July A.G. wants 250 Gameskeepers too.

Kind of puts me 2000 knives back.

Not complaining but there are times when pullin' my hair out seems perfectly normal.

Very cool handle variations, you're taking your knives to a new level!

FWI, no matter how pretty you make them, I'm still gonna use every one of them that I get, no drawer queens allowed :coolkid:
