I always wanted to swim with sharks until one day I was swimming in the ocean and saw a shark. I was out of that water so fast I probably scared the little 2 foot shark away.

I always thought it would be a cool merit badge to actually crash an airplane and survive. I did that too and it wasn't very fun. I smashed the a Piper Cub repro into a ball of wreckage (vapor lock in fuel line, right after takeoff when turning downwind, engine died, went into spiral)... made me happy to be alive.
